Beasy was engaged by Easton Builders for the demolition of existing slabs and bulk excavation works at the Beresford Hotel in busy Surry Hills, Sydney.

The project consisted of demolition and disposal of the top layer of concrete slab with machines, conducting excavation works for 2000m3 of soil and carting the soil away.

One of the main challenges of this project was particularly the detailed excavation works around the heritage piers. Through exercising effective project management and critical measures, the piers were intact and the job was done easily.
