Aboriginal Smoking Ceremony on Beasy Pty Ltd Demolition Site
In recognition of returning a sacred aboriginal burial site to the community, the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council held a smoking ceremony following the successful demolition at 40 Stuart Street, Manly.
Beasy Pty Ltd respectfully and meticulously demolished the multilevel harbourside structure under the watchful eyes of representatives from the Aboriginal Land Council and other Heritage Consultants.
The land will now be incorporated into the popular Little Manly Beach Reserve, where it will be transformed to parkland with lawn and native foliage. It will be sprinkled with strategically placed seating and picnic shelters enabling the community to gain the best advantage of the stunning views and enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings of this harbourside sanctuary.
In line with the Northern Beaches Council’s circular waste standards, the material from the demolition process was recycled by Beasy Pty Ltd.
